The book will be released on March 26th, 2019 in eBook and paperback formats and you can purchase it from the Amazon website globally.

What is Descendant of the Elders about?
Descendant of the Elders is a science fiction and fantasy mashup about a space marine who suffers from sickle cell anemia. The marine is called Brandon Wardson, and he joins the Galactic Alliance marine program to find a way off Earth, where his lifelong disease causes him to feel alienated.
After becoming one of the youngest Sergeants in the organization, Brandon is sent on a classified mission where he must locate some missing marines. Brandon soon finds out that one of these marines has gone rogue, and they end up in the mystical world of Relaun, a place Brandon never knew existed. A place with many secrets.
In Relaun, Brandon quickly finds out the dangers of what can happen if science is replaced by magic, and the enemy makes it clear that he’s out to eliminate the Galactic Alliance from the Milky Way.
With no backup available, Brandon must build alliances in Relaun to help rally against the enemy and find a way back home to the Milky Way; all while suffering from chronic pains and physical limitations.
Who is Descendant of the Elders for?
Descendant of the Elders is a blend of sci-fi space opera and epic fantasy and is completely accessible to a young adult audience. Even with it being in the young adult / new adult category, this book can also be enjoyed by those who like mature themes in their books. The aim of the series is to create many life lessons that people of all ages can relate to.
People with sickle cell or a similar condition that causes chronic pain will identify with Brandon’s feelings of hopelessness, as he must keep pushing forward while suffering in silence. But although these medical themes are prevalent, the book can still be enjoyed by anyone who doesn’t suffer with these conditions.
Other books in the Realm Blender series
There will be a Realm Blender book #2 and we’re aiming to get it ready for 2020. But you won’t have to wait until then to get an extra dose of this series. Releasing alongside Descendant of the Elders is a novella called Starfade that will bridge the gap between book 1 and book 2.
Starfade will feature another protagonist named Chiaki Nakayama who is a hacker for hire in the Milky Way. Chiaki learned everything from her older brother Kura, but after he’s murdered, Chiaki vows to track down his murderer and avenge his death. But when the Galactic Alliance comes knocking on her door to involve her in a classified mission, she soon finds the answers she’s been looking for all along.
Starfade is a spacepunk story that will be 170 pages long. It can be read as a standalone book, without having read Descendant of the Elders, but to get the full satisfaction it’s recommended to read both books.
