I remember the first time I read a John Grisham book. I was going abroad and wanted an easy read and picked up the first book that caught my attention. That book was The Associate and I went into it with no expectations. I came out of it realising that John Grisham – an author who primarily writes legal thrillers – has a talent for highlighting professions that aren’t always deemed exciting. His books allow me to imagine myself pushing legal paperwork around an office.
I love reading John Girsham’s work when I need to break up the flow of fantasy books I’ve been reading. This helps bring me back to he harsh realities of the world we live in. That’s why I’ve chosen Rogue Lawyer to be this month’s book.
Look out for the review towards the end of the month. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on Rogue Lawyer across social media by using the hashtag #ReditalBookClub

Rogue Lawyer Synopsis
Sebastian Rudd takes the cases no one else wants to take: the drug-addled punk accused of murdering two little girls; a crime lord on death row; a homeowner accused of shooting at a SWAT team.
Rudd believes that every person accused of a crime is entitled to a fair trial – even if he has to cheat to get one. He antagonises people from both sides of the law: his last office was firebombed, either by drug dealers or cops. He doesn’t know or care which.
But things are about to get even more complicated for Sebastian. Arch Swanger is the prime suspect in the abduction and presumed murder of 21-year-old Jiliana Kemp, the daughter of the assistant chief of police. When Swanger asks Sebastian to represent him, he lets Sebastian in on a terrible secret . . . one that will threaten everything Sebastian holds dear.
