Everyone is going crazy over Stephen King‘s IT again, but I’ve decided that I will spend the lead up to Halloween delving into what’s listed as one of King’s scariest books, Pet Sematary. This will be one of two horror books that I read in October and I’m hoping that I’ll be so terrified that I throw my kindle across the room. I’ve already added a replacement to my wishlist.
Seriously though, It has been almost twenty years since a book sent chills down my spine; I’m hoping it’s still possible. Either way, I’m sure this will be a phenomenal book because Stephen King has a talent for building atmosphere in his writing.
Look out for the Redital review of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary towards the end of the month. If you’re also reading it then join in on the conversation by hastagging #ReditalBookClub on your social media platform of choice.

Pet Sematary by Stephen King Synopsis
When the Creeds move into a beautiful old house in rural Maine, it all seems too good to be true: physician father, beautiful wife, charming little daughter, adorable infant son—and now an idyllic home. As a family, they’ve got it all…right down to the friendly car.
But the nearby woods hide a blood-chilling truth—more terrifying than death itself—and hideously more powerful.
The Creeds are going to learn that sometimes dead is better.
